RAWR! I hope the Supreme Court rules well today, but also, that if they make it right, that more gaming will too. Games like Skyrim didn't lose love just because you could same sex marry, and game makers shouldn't worry that they might miss out on some customers by allowing all the people playing to like who they like. I remember back on games like Arcanum and The Temple of Good and Evil, where if you wanted to enjoy it, same sex or not, there was nothing keeping you from it. And back then, it was more of a contraversy. People were concerned about sales. But they were great games (ToGaE after patch). But in the end, more and more the trend is leaning toward just tossing the same sex thing in there. No one has to marry their own gender in game, so it should have no effect on gameplay for most players, but for those of us who have to pretend that ugly guy is a really butchie girl for the relationship to feel the way the makers wanted it to feel, thanks. I don't want my gameplay soured by a guy on girl storyline I have to add my own storyline to just to make it relatable. I want the impact that the designers wanted. And if they want me to feel that ignited passion, I appreciate that they care about me too, and not just the bulk of their fans who are straight. I am very happy that letting people love people is becoming the norm. I hope more game designers, even in other countries, take note of what is happening with equal marriage rights in the world, and jump on board :) RAWR :)
